our story

Kidsbury opened its doors in 1986, and has been a leading innovator in supporting, encouraging, and nurturing young minds ever since. We are grateful every day for the connections and memories that we’ve accumulated with our staff, residents, and children, and have deeply enjoyed sharing them with each and every person that has walked through our doors.

our philosophy

Kidsbury Daycare Ltd. provides supervision for children who require care outside of the home for regular and extended periods of time. We recognize the many facets that become entrusted to our program when we do this, and that children are best understood and supported in the contexts of family, community, and culture. In partnership with the parents of the program, Kidsbury Daycare Ltd. strives to nourish and strengthen these supports.

The program promotes learning through play, aims to support all developmental and exceptional needs, and understands that all children are mighty learners who are unique in their abilities and views of the world. Our intent is to promote dynamic learning, foster the potential in every child, and instill a positive self-concept in our children which is powerful enough to last them a lifetime.

our vision

Our vision for the future centers around several key points: engagement, enjoyment, and development. In the years to come, we hope to continue honing our skills in each of these aspects, and to put emphasis on finding ways to achieve each in greater depth within our community, our environment, our facility, our staff, and our children.

We are proud and grateful to have been a part of life in Didsbury for the past 30 years, and we look forward to serving the community for many more! We would also like to recognize that we live and work on Treaty 7 territory—the traditional and ancestral territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy which includes the Kainai, Piikani and Siksika people as well as the Tsuu T’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nation. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us, and wish to make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
