community connections

One of our favourite parts about our center is that it gets to call Didsbury home. Over the last three and a half decades, we’ve had the opportunity and great honour to be able to build and foster thousands of relationships with residents past and present, as well as their families, friends, and loved ones through our shared bonds with our community’s littlest members.

We take great pride in our community, and as a result take great pride also in how we share and experience it within our facility. Some of the best memories made under our roof have involved key members of our community forging meaningful interactions with our children, such as a demonstration from our local fire department, shown also below. Like many adults, a great deal of our children thrive on a sense of togetherness and with this in mind, we participate often in unifying events such as Pink Shirt Day with them, a movement created to oppose bullying and give rise to kindness. We also participate in frequent narratives with them about all of the different roles that the members in our local society play that help to make it whole, both those that they know personally such as parents of the center and those they may not necessarily, like all of the dedicated employees of our many local businesses, which we proudly display along a road run across our back wall.

Our daycare also continues to partner with a number of establishments in Didsbury, including Parent Link, Didsbury Neighborhood Place, and Public Health in the areas of speech therapy and registered dieticians, among many others whom we consider cherished friends in the community. We firmly believe that we are better together and consider this a vital principle to pass along to the children we care for, and this goes not only for our team and children at Kidsbury, but for Didsbury as a whole.

Moving forward, we are excited to continue sharing our passions for both providing quality care for kids and developing lasting community connections with and for generations to come.
